a 'stray' cat has been hanging around my house (unfortunatly or fortunatly we fed it and let it in when it was raining) weve since found out its microchipped but its owners who according to the chip live quite far away havent returned the call from the vets a week later. its still here as the vet had no room to take it in and its too friendly and cute to shut in a tiny cage. however my 2 cats are not too keen, they dont fight or anything they just hiss and sulk. (i have a bro & sis and all 3 have been done) the 'stray' doesnt bat a lid to them. i dont let him in over night as not to upset my 2. what do i do??? i dont think i can keep him but cant bear the thought of him caged :( help!
What's your ideal home? Do you already live in your ideal home? Where would it be and would you design it yourself? I like my house but it's not perfect, some of the rooms are too big and two of the bedrooms are too small. Ideally I'd like a sea view, but not be on a hill, I'd like at least four bedrooms for when people come to stay, extra baths and toilets, a utility room, and an office/study. I'd like a separate dining room but also room in the kitchen for a table and chairs, and the kitchen would be an all-singing, all dancing, high tech one. The garden needs to be a bit bigger than we heve at the moment, but still needs ponds, a greenhouse and shed. I'd also like a proper vegetable and fruit garden. So what would you have in yours or have you got it all just so where you are?
Around here you see local council vans driving about with roads dept or building operations on the side yet it seems like these guys just drive around. All the jobs in the council here are subcontracted even the joiners and plumbers the guys that done the streetlamps outside were a private firm so were the joiners that fixed the guy a few doors up stairs.i want a job with these guys £9 an hour to drive around in a van all day id be sorted!
It has been on our local news today that 2 police dogs had been found dead in a police vehicle outside a police station on the hottest day of the year. I am absolutely appalled. How could such a thing have happened? Anyone in their right mind wouldn't leave a dog in a car/van in this weather, never mind someone who is supposed to be upholding the law and know different. Those poor animals must have been in such distress before they died. The police officers that were in charge of the dogs have not been suspended. There is an inquiry going on to find out how long they were left and why. If it were you or I, we would be heavily summonsed or even a jail sentence for cruelty would apply. Careless, negligent or plain stupid, what is your opinion?
Personally my favourite episode is when they go camping and Jezzer sets fire to the camper van.... Bloody brilliant! Also when Hampster gets hypnotised.
Two police dogs have died after being left in a Police Dog Van outside a police station in Nottinghamshire. How the hell did the dog handlers allow this to happen!! It is an act of neglect leaving dogs in the van in this weather. They must have been locked in the fan for a long time for death to have happened. I for one, as a dog lover, am enraged that this has been allowed to happen!!!
This has happened to me on many occasions because I always throw my rubbish away in sealed bags before I put them into my wheele so therefore our wheelie is always clean, and if it ever does get dirty I hose it off right away. It really annoys me when I am left with a really dirty smelly wheelie that is definitely not ours, I used to stick stickers on with our door number but they can be easily pulled off and replaced so now I have resorted to painting our number on all our wheelies and since then we have not had any trouble.
This question has come from an answer I have given on Lisajb's topic about cold showers on a hot day, I said that i'd like an ice cream , which in turn got me wondering about the ice cream van . I haven't seen or heard one for quite a while and you would have thought that with all this hot weather that they would have been round all the time and annoying us all with their merry little ditties , are ice cream vans still around or has the credit crunch go to them too ?
