Thinking of France, where incidently the food is awful the week we stay, I wondered whether you were the type who likes to experiment in the kitchen and what you liked to cook?
I love cooking and I do 80 to 90% of the cooking in the house. Not great with puddings becuase I don't eat them myself but otherwise I can cook most things well. Reminds me of my Dad. He would make the worlds greatest bacon sandwich on a Saturday morning when I was 16 plus. Would use the whole kitchen in order to do so but it was great watching him cook and the chat we would have would cover football, politics, cricket - you name it. Good times.
Just being nosey really! I like peas n cheese on toast. Quite simply fry some frozen peas, put them onto toast with cheddar on top and pop under grill till it's melted. Don't knock it till you've tried it - it's delicious!!
I invented Kitchen Sink Cuisine....basically it means if it dont fit down the plughole it can be used for a meal!!!!!
I do a great Chuck It in Soup....basically its just a matter of chucking all the end of week veg in a pan..you know the odd bits that have gone a bit rubbery or wrinkly and generally end up in the bin or on the compost heap..all you do is gather up the left over veg, peel wash, chop, add to a large pan of stock, simmer until tender, blend down, add a little cream or milk, reheat and serve with crusty bread.
I'm also a great one for adapting recipes, I generally start off making something, find I have only half the ingredients and improvise with what ever is in the store cupboard/fridge and I must admit I get really good results........only downside I can never make it twice as I can never remember exactly what or how much of what I put in but it certainly adds variety. Im also pretty good at working out brand name recipes, I do a really great copycat Macdonalds Burger although mine is a lot lower in fat etc it tastes exactly the same!! Will try the Peas and Cheese on toast, sounds interesting!!

I have only been abroad once and took advantage of the night life, but being honest i'd prefer somewhere in England any time. I was bought up on English holidays.
I love to holiday abroad simply for the fact that I adore learning about different cultures and trying all different cuisines in the countries that I visit. My best holdiay to date was actually to Tunisia where I did a week long tour out of the holdiay and visited some amazing archaelogical sites. I would love to visit again soon but the heat might be too much for the little ones yet
Can someone tell me about bagels? I've never had one, what do they taste like? What do you have on yours? Should I try them? Are they crispy all the way through or just on the outside?
